Ballygarry House

Ranked number 5 in Ireland on TripAdvisor, Ballygarry House is a personal favourite for a lot of the staff here at Helipaddy.

The hotel has been run and owned by the same family since 1958. Padraig, the current owner, happens to be a helicopter enthusiast himself, and always has an interesting story to tell; he has flown his Hughes 500 through most European countries, going as far south as Spain and as far North as the Arctic Circle.

Padraig’s passion for helicopters is really reflected in the experience pilots can get at the hotel; he is committed to making landing there a real pleasure. A large grass area is made available at the rear of the hotel, allowing for a very comfortable landing – as long as one is aware of the cables to the west. You can even refuel on Jet A1 directly on site.

The hotel is located on the Wild Atlantic Way, which is the longest coastal drive in the world. Padraig highly recommends flying it; he will give you all the hot heli tips on flying up the Irish coast. Breathtaking views are guaranteed!
