Indemnity required

Please check the box if an insurance indemnity e.g. £5,000,000 is required.  Generally this is unusual, especially for private sites. Please specify details in the Landing Information field.

Animals

Please check the box if the pad or landing site or the approach path could be near pets or farm animals, or even wild animals! Please specify details in the Landing Information field.

Noise sensitivities 

Please check the box if the pad or landing site or their approach path could be near neighbours or other guests. Please specify details in the Landing Information field.

Avoid certain times

Please check the box if the landing area is only available at certain times. Please specify details in the Landing Information field.

Night lighting possible

Please check the box if the owner of the landing area has or is able to provide lighting to assist with night landings. Please specify details in the Landing Information field.

Landing fees may apply

Please check the box if the owner wants to charge landing fees. If guests are staying over or having lunch, Helipaddy encourage owners of private establishments not to charge landing fees as it has the effect of entering them into an unspecific service contract with the pilot. This can have serious consequences for liability, planning permission and regulation which we cannot advise on. Please could establishments specify details in the Landing Information field. Adjacent landowner permission

Please check the box if the landing site is on a neighbour’s land and requires their permission.  Please specify details in the Landing Information field.

Needs checking out!

Please check the box if the site has yet to be visited by a helicopter and details need clarification. Please specify the reasons for selecting this in the Landing Information field.

Short Notice

Please check the box if you can (almost) fly straight into with minimal prior permission. Please note that there is no such thing as a private site with “no PPR” – all landing sites are PPR.

Commercial landings possible

Please check the box if the site has been previously visited by a chartered flight, where the occupants of the helicopter paid to be delivered to the site and did not fly themselves.

Dedicated Helipad

Please check the box if the site has a specifc structure for helicopter landings. This can be a solid pad or a permanent ‘H’ on a consistently maintained and level surface.
