Other popular options include continuing north up the Lee Valley Reservoirs, over the site of the Olympic Park, though it is possible to continue east along the river to the Thames estuary, subject to London City airport traffic.
The author, Andrew, is a commercial pilot with over 15 years experience in and around the airspace of London, flying as in instructor, aerial filming pilot and with the emergency services.
